Rosie Thickett is a mezzo soprano, recently graduated from Birmingham
Conservatoire with a Master’s degree in vocal performance. Taught by
Rita Cullis, she has worked with coaches hailing from institutions
such as the Royal Opera, Glyndebourne, ENO and the National Opera
Studio. She has undertaken various operatic roles in the past,
including the title role and the second witch in Purcell’s Dido and
Aeneas, Third Lady in Die Zauberflöte, Celia in Iolanthe and Arnalta
in l’incoronazione di Poppea (opera scenes). She was also a finalist
for the conservatoire’s Ashlean and Singing prizes. After returning to
Rotherham, she now divides her time between singing
semi-professionally and working as a singing teacher.
