Kay is new to working with opera and operatic choruses, and is finding it an exciting and rewarding new challenge after working on much smaller productions at the tiny Lantern Theatre over the last few years. Projects she has particularly enjoyed in recent years have had their roots in making Shakespeare’s works accessible to people who may previously have associated them with dreary classroom boredom. This Cinderella project has allowed Kay to once again bring an element of fun and laughter into a classic production. Kay’s daytime role is within leadership development in higher education, and she is a service designer for the University of Sheffield where she has worked in research for the last 10 years. Kay is happiest when waving her arms and making a loud noise so this project has suited her perfectly.
