Jeremy Craven (Zuniga)
This is Jeremy’s third principal role for Sheffield City Opera, having been Wagner in Faust, and the Carpenter’s Mate in HMS Pinafore.
On meeting Nick Hardy (Don José), Jeremy learned that Nick was related (by marriage) to Jeremy’s folk guitar teacher at St Jerome’s primary school in Formby on Merseyside. Jeremy has always maintained that the enthusiasm of teachers at that school for the pure joy of singing was a major influence on his love of singing, so it was a delight to establish this link.
Since leaving school, Jeremy has sung enthusiastically in lots of different settings, but only came to Opera five years ago, joining the SCO chorus for Elixir of Love.
