Nick Hardy comes from Liverpool. He started singing in school choirs and went on to study singing and opera at the Royal Academy of Music. He has sung roles and covers for Scottish Opera and Buxton Festival Opera and has sung 30 major roles for local companies throughout the country.
His UK-wide oratorio solo credits include many performances of Verdi’s Requiem and Elgar’s The Dream of Gerontius.
As an opera gala soloist he has sung in Italy, Germany and Spain with the London Festival Opera.
As a free-lance chorister, he has frequently appeared with ENO, WNO, Opera North and Scottish Opera, and he is currently engaged to ENO for their forthcoming new edition, new translation production of Berlioz’s Benvenuto Cellini.
